Last month I told you about a slight change in how the newsletters were sent out. It would seem that several of you did not understand, did not remember, or just got a tad confused. So to assist you in remembering I will say it again, louder and slower: I ….STILL…. WRITE ….THE ….NEWSLETTER. …MARY ….DULY EMAILS… THEM …OUT. Got that? As you may be aware I have been writing the newsletter since we first started this U3A. I do regularly get feedback from readers but it has more to do with the jokes then the content! From this month we are trying a new approach
From the Chairman: The updated Yellow book should be available at the June general meeting. Members will need to take out all of the old inserts and put in all of the new ones.
From the Editor: I normally send out the newsletters the weekend before the general meeting. Since it takes me absolutely yonks to write it; I would request that any submissions be made before the Friday of the week before the general meeting. Anyone can send me submissions. Those people who have read this last sentence will know that all three adjectives are synonyms: that is to show you how quick it will be!
I thought that since the school holidays are upon us and a lot of members were doing extra duties in the child minding department, I would find a suitable photo which encompasses doting grandparents let loose on unsuspecting offspring….how did I do?
