minder to residents in Aylesbury Vale to be on their guard to a telephone/bank card scam that is now spreading across the country. The scam is as follows:-
The victim receives an unsolicited telephone call from the fraudsters claiming to be their bank (or in some cases the police), stating that their systems have spotted a fraudulent payment on their card or
You are NOT being paranoid –they ARE out to get you.
Let’s start with what it is. As usual it is delivered neatly wrapped in an innocent looking e-mail as an attachment looking just like set of funny cat pictures, or a message from your bank, anything to entice you to open it … and you do.

The attachments (below), give some good tips and advice on increasing the security of sheds, garages and outbuilding. The harder it is for a potential criminal to break in, the more likely they are to not try in the first place.
