Our first garden visit in 2019 is to Old Church Cottage, an NGS garden in Long Marston.
Church Cottage is a 400 year-old thatched cottage. The garden has many species and varieties of snowdrops, cyclamen, crocuses, irises and other spring bulbs. Adjoining the cottage is a disused churchyard with ancient yews, and a Norman tower being the remnant of a Chapel of Ease.
Garden featured in The English Garden 2018 and in Garden Answers.
The visit takes place on Saturday February 16th, 2019. The garden opens at 11.30am. Cost of garden entry, mulled wine and shortbread is £5.00.
