After four seasons of organising visits to local churches John Richardson and Margaret Baynes have chosen to ‘retire’ and pass this role to new organisers. They were very pleased that Mrs Odette Harris and the Revnd Geoffrey Howell have volunteered to take over from them for the 2018 season (April to October).
Odette will deal with all ‘admin’ (e.g. emails, notices, lists amendments, telephone calls etc.) and be your point of contact. She will be e-Mailable on churches@wtu3a.org.uk which will redirect to Mike Bean (Webmaster) until Odette has decided where Church Visits mail should go. In the meantime anything ‘Church Visits’ related I’ll pass on to her.
For the other main aspect of organisation we have the Revnd Geoffrey Howell, a retired vicar, who will choose and liaise with the churches involved – one might think he has and inside track on this!
Thank you to John and Margaret for supporting the group over the past 4 years. Accumulating 48 active members and arranged visits to 31 churches in these 4 years, and 41 churches in total since the Group started; and all group members pass on their grateful thank-yous to both Odette and Geoffrey for offering to take over this U3A Group next year.
