A challenge closer to home this time in Northwood – racing slot cars like we did many years ago. Agonising, wasn’t it! Trying to keep on the track was the most difficult combined with regular interruption to drive power but now the technology has caught up with the youthful dream and our trip will be to a permanent layout with an 8-lane ultra-smooth Ninco circuit (OK, so I don’t know how good they are but they are very popular!), with perfect electrical connections, sophisticated race control system that gives you accurate lap and race times, positions, fastest laps etc.
The ultimate child’s wish will also be granted as we’ll not have to tidy up and put the tracks away in the box before returning home!
